Luciano Gaudenzio - Hope’s Larch Forest

These larches are really special; they are today visible on the remains of the Toc Mount, Friuli’s Dolomites, which, in 1963, landslide, causing one of the worst disasters in Italy, overtopping the dam and around 2,000 deaths (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vajont_Dam).

Hope because life is come back, stronger than before.

Hope and happiness I wish you all, dear friends and followers, for this Christmas.

I had the opportunity when I worked as a photojournalist to photograph Giuseppe Vazza and others affected by the Vajont disaster of 63 and was a huge and unfortunate fatality, it's good to see that after all these years a place like this abound again peace and beauty .

    Congrats for your work Luciano!

You all give us so many beautifull images, that is hard not to comment each and everyone of it! This one is also one of this images that transport us to a world of dreams and magic, even though these larches are the reminders of a great disaster but also of the unbreakable law of nature, that death and birth are continuous! Congratulatios fot this piece of heaven!
