Bruno D'Amicis - First blizzard

Walking on a mountain ridge one morning, I got caught in an early-winter blizzard couldn’t keep my eyes open nor my head up: the wind was taking my breath away and icy snow flakes pierced my eyes, So, I have looked down instead and that’s what I saw.

I agree with Werner, for me the image also evokes emotions, very positive ones. Conditions like these make winter a very special season.

My small Portugal, it is not a very "snowy" country. Its true that in the highlands (the portuguese "Serras") on the northeast it snows ocasionaly during harsh winters, and Serra da Estrela, the highest peak in portuguese continental territory(1992m high), is completely covered by snow during winter. So snow and the magic that is associated to it, assumes a very strong fascination on me. This image is an Haiku on snow, it seems that all the truth about snow and life is condensed on this image!
