Emmanuel Boitier - Profusion of red

The autumn 2009 was spectacular in the mountains of the centre of France for the plentiful fruiting of rowans. I spent many days trying to photograph them, before finding this extraordinary tree, loaded with fruits, composing a delicate scene with the red of berries and the ash grey of lichens.

What a perfect situation. Very beautiful indeed and well executed. I wonder how many birds will show up in winter there!
