Sven Začek - Rain in pink

The changing weather of autumn is really inspiring and that is a great time to be out taking landscape photographs. Yes, sometimes it can be frustrating when the weather changes at the wrong time, but when it get’s it right then it can be really rewarding. This evening was pretty much like that. I was searching for compositions on the shore of this lake between Sweden and Norway and the light was looking great. Then I saw this rain cloud coming and I thought: “Oh, s***!”, because I didn’t know how large it was going to be. It turned out to be a small one and passed quickly and took on this pink glow while it was still raining.

Beautifully done... A marvellous moment caught on the right moment, a sugestive sky and the drops of rain splashin on to the lake surface... simply beautifull

I like this picture. Of course the sky could be more dramatic and the colours more intense, but the composition is very good and you don't see many landscape pictures with raindrops in it.
