Sandra Bartocha - Porcelain Fungus
The Porcelain Fungus is one of the most beautiful mushrooms … and my favourite one.
I like the translucent and elegant form. They grow mostly on old and fallen beech trees … so it’s easy to find a good position for photographing them. I prefer to photograph from below in order to highlight the delicate lamellar structure.

I like it very much, especially the sharp mushroom against the abstract background....the beeches are not visible. How did you do this?

@ silvia
it's a beach forest in the back and it grows on a fallen beach (the right corner). the trees in the background are blurred by the foreground. it's a mashy area and there were a lot of horsetail plants in front of my lens that are responsible for the blurry appearance.

Your photos are a kind of magic: they allow us to see the world beyond reality and lead us into the world of dreams. And your sense of sharing this little world is fantastic. A picture with an excellent background, and a very graphic image that conveys strong feelings, beyond the imaginary. No doubt you are a visionary !!!!!

Since the first time I saw one of your images (it was about 4 years ago) I was stunned in way that it never happened before. When I saw your galleries in Wild Wonder and browsed your site I thought "It cant get any better than this!", but day after day you showned me that new stunning images are just a click away... enchanted forests, idilic orchids, simple flowers... dew, spider webs... and as Joao said you are a visionary!
Congrats by the WPY 11 award! You surely deserved it!

Just amazing - and I love the position with the blurring texture. And it is also a beautiful tone in the picture :)
