Werner Bollmann - Taiga

Making pictures of the vast Taiga forest is not easy. You need a higher elevation to give an impression of this endless seeming landscape. Hannu Hautala – in his friendly and supporting manner – gave me the advice to follow the ridges close beside the Kitka River in the Oulanka National Park. It was a great day in the woods: Rainy, misty, silent, the scent of the wet forest and a single siberian jay following me for a while– just perfect!

Oh, I thought someone had taken my photo and changed the yellow to green. I was also there, but in Sepetember, but the weather was similar and I took the exact same photo, with the only difference being that the nature was yellow.

This misty feeling and the shades of green work miracles here.
