Luciano Gaudenzio - Midnight Moon and Campanile di Val Montanaia (Dolomiti Friulane)

The symbol of Dolomiti Friulane, wildest e unknown Dolomites, recently Unesco World Heritage, is a monolithic tower called “Campanile di Val Montanaia” which rises suddenly and leaves everyone stunned.
I’m working on 3 years project on these mountains and I got up here at least a dozen times but I never found the right atmosphere for this tower, so I thought to shoot it on a night where the moon was present but not too bright to make the stars invisible; I made several shots but this one where the moon rays blend with the fog that surround the mountain is definitely my favorite…
