Sandra Bartocha - Spooky Forest
This is one of the most photographed forests in Germany. It is situated directly on the Baltic Sea shore and therefore exposed to the harsh winds from the sea. It almost looks like a park as ground vegetation has no chance to grow. In the morning and evening hours trees start to glow in a bluish spooky way … that’s the reason why the forest is officially called ‘Gespensterwald’ (Spooky Forest).

I thought this might have been a park, but it turned out to be another reason for the missing vegetation. Great photo and a special place.
