Jaak, you're definitely THE master of wonderful, intimate, mother+chick pictures. You should be very happy about this! They look so tiny!

Actually the chick is not going to hiding but to warmth (or maybe he/she was just shy :-). This was already out-of-the-nest period where the small ones' defence mechanism in case of danger was to run away from mother and once the threat was gone mother called them together again.

Yeah, if something is going on then the safest place is to hide behind your mother. Human children do it too!
