Roy Mangersnes - Little Plover in green

Green has arrived even in Norway and the migrating birds have started their annual cycle of reproduction. This Little Plover is not a very common breeding bird in Norway, and it finds its place in the strangest places. The most common breeding habitats of this little wading bird are actually construction sites and abandoned real estate land. By laying flat on my stomach and using the green grass in the foreground as a softening filter I turned this construction site into a lush, pleasing frame for the bird in focus.

This is exactly the way the bird sees its enivronment. Low and green. Yes their might be some old houses in the background, but those are too far to be dangerous.
