Werner Bollmann - Silhouettes

Everybody who has been in the blinds at Lake Hornborga knows this situation: It’s 8 p.m., the cranes have left to their sleeping places and you wait to be finally released from this little enclosure after a long day. I thought there were no birds left that special evening and started to pack my stuff, when suddenly this little group appeared on the hill behind the blind. I tried to grab my things in the darkness of the hut which was filled with the usual chaos (sleeping back, thermos, rubber boots, tripod etc.). I managed to make some shots before the birds left. At the first glance I thought the result wasn’t too good, but in the meantime I like this special order in disorder.

I have been planning to visit this place, but haven't got round to it yet. This photo makes me want to start planning again.
