Meelis Kivirand - Springtime waters

One of Estonia’s interesting places, Soomaa National Park, is often flooded in springtime. The rivers carry melting water onto vast areas. Many smaller rivers join side by side into bigger one which hardly can bear this load. The waters flood forest floors where some of the snow hasn’t yet melted. In the photograph the water seems warm but instead it was frosty and reached a meter high above the ground.
