Werner Bollmann - Prepare for landing

In late afternoon the puffins come back from their fishing grounds to rest on the cliffs. Soon all preferred places on the rock tops are taken. Puffins are really no good flyers and repeatedly a latecomer doesn’t manage to land at the right place and plunks right into a resting group.

I like this kind of light a lot and you are right the gius on the cliff should prepare for landing, because this guy is coming in no matter what.

Wow, Werner! Great timing and what a composition. I love the gradient of blue in the sky and the way the other Puffins are OOF. You can be very happy of your Puffin pictures...

Puffin pics are on the wish list of any photographer, but the results are usually the same what is seen before. In the lIght of that I postponed my comment, because this is a very inspiring puffin scene. The one I'd travel there for myself to be honest.

Cool picture Werner! Not easy to take original puffin pictures nowadays, but you managed to so so.

The picture looks like it's taken right out of "Happy feet", or some other cartoon. :) Great composition!
